Name of the examination: CWE for Specialist Officers
Minimum Basic Academic Requirements:
a)An applicant must be a graduate degree holder in any discipline from a reputed institute or University recognized by the State or Central Govt.
b)The applicant must have proficiency in Computer Operation (Preferably a Certificate/ Diploma or Degree holder in Computer Application)
c)The candidate must have the fluency and proficiency with the official language of the state or union territory from which he is aspiring to apply for IBPS

Essential Age Boundaries:
•The applicant must have obtained a minimum of 20 years of age and should not exceed 28 years of age as on 1st of October 2012 to be eligible for applying for this CWE.
•However, candidates belonging to privileged category will be entitled to receive special relaxation in the upper age bar.
Nature of Examination and Penalty Provisions:
The IBPS CWE will be comprising of objective type questions with multiple choice options at places, which will be conducted for a duration of 2 years. The subjects will be broadly Reasoning (40 marks), Numerical Ability (40 marks), s) English Language (40 marks), Computer Proficiency (40 marks) and General Awareness (with respect to banking operation – 40 marks).
There will be negative marking for each wrong answer and there will be 0.25 marks deduction for each wrong answer by the applicant.
