Govt hasn't responded to our warning of withdrawing support: DMK chief

Chennai: The Sri Lanka issue has once again reached the Centre's door. DMK chief Karunanidhi said that the government has not yet responded to his threat of pulling out of the UPA government over the Lanka human rights issue. He has demanded that India must push for changes in the UN resolution on Lanka demanding an independent enquiry into alleged war crimes by the Lankan Army.
"There has been no response from the Centre on our warning that we will withdraw support. We demand the government pushes for amendments in the US resolution in the UN. We are putting maximum pressure on the government to reveal its strategy," Karunanidhi said.
