Annamalai University Disatance Education

The Directorate of Distance Education established in 1979, and now offers more than five hundred and one different programmes of study under the Regular Stream. It is credited with the largest enrolment in India and is well equipped with computer and other infrastructure, adequate teaching faculty and administrative set-up of its own, study centres, computer training centres, etc., to serve its students' clientele in their best interest at their door steps. It has also the unique distinction of offering first in India, Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Applied Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Bioinformatics and Law through Distance Education mode. Tamil Nadu State Teachers Eligibility Test

TN SET or Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test October 2012 is for the candidates who are looking for the lecturer posts. TN SET is eligibility test to get lecturer jobs in Tamil Nadu based colleges and universities.

TN-SET 2013 Results-Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (SET), which was held on October 7, 2012, now is going to declare it’s TN TET 2012 Results in the first or second week of February. Bharathiar University, the nodal agency for the University Grants Commission (UGC) for holding SET, conducted the test in 10 main centers and 76 sub-centers in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. “The evaluation procedures have been completed and the results will be declared once the UGC moderation committee gives its approval,” said BU Vice-Chancellor G James Pitchai. The committee’s meeting is scheduled to be held in the first week of February.

The moderation committee includes nominees from the State Government, university Vice-Chancellor, who is also the committee chairman, and UGC representatives. University sources said the UGC has agreed to send two nominees from Mumbai.

SYLLABUS OF THE TEST 
The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A, B & C) as per syllabus & Scheme of Exam.
# Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects including Engineering Sciences. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.
# In Engineering Sciences, Part ‘B’ shall contain questions pertaining to Mathematics & Engineering Aptitude & Part ‘C’ shall contain subject related multiple choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics in the syllabus. And for other disciplines:
# Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topicsgiven in the syllabus.
# Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
# Negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be applicable as per scheme of Exam.Syllabus & Scheme of Exam of single MCQ Paper is given in the Information Bulletin for this test at Appendix ‘I’ and may also be seen at CSIR website: www.csirhrdg.res.in.

  • The Government of Tamil Nadu will conduct Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TN TET) 2013 also known as Tamil Nadu TET , as per the formalities laid down by the central regulating authorities. Tamil Nadu TET is for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Tamil Nadu.
  • TN TET 2013 notification will be released by the Department of School Education, Tamil Nadu OR concerned examination board as directed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. TET is a compulsory examination for all the B.Ed. qualified candidates to be considered for teacher jobs in schools run by the government and private managements. Eligibility and Qualifications for Tamil Nadu TET :

Minimum Basic Academic Requirements:


a)An applicant must be a graduate degree holder in any discipline from a reputed institute or University recognized by the State or Central Govt.
b)The applicant must have proficiency in Computer Operation (Preferably a Certificate/ Diploma or Degree holder in Computer Application)
c)The candidate must have the fluency and proficiency with the official language of the state or union territory from which he is aspiring to apply for IBPS


Essential Age Boundaries:
•The applicant must have obtained a minimum of 20 years of age and should not exceed 28 years of age as on 1st of October 2012 to be eligible for applying for this CWE.
•However, candidates belonging to privileged category will be entitled to receive special relaxation in the upper age bar.



Nature of Examination and Penalty Provisions:

The IBPS CWE will be comprising of objective type questions with multiple choice options at places, which will be conducted for a duration of 2 years. The subjects will be broadly Reasoning (40 marks), Numerical Ability (40 marks), s) English Language (40 marks), Computer Proficiency (40 marks) and General Awareness (with respect to banking operation – 40 marks).

There will be negative marking for each wrong answer and there will be 0.25 marks deduction for each wrong answer by the applicant.

Remittance of Application Fees:
For applying for the IBPS CWE-II, interested candidates need to apply to the IBPS with remittance of a predefined and mandatory application fee.

Civil Services main exam to be held in Nov-Dec 2013-3/30/2013


New Delhi: The Civil Services (Main) examination will be held in November or December this year and applications for it will be called in August or September, according to a notification issued by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
UPSC, which conducts the prestigious examinations to select IAS, IPS and IFS officers among others, has in a recently issued public notice dropped the mandatory English language paper from the main test.

It has also restored the earlier practice of two qualifying papers, the marks obtained of which will not be counted for ranking.
"The papers on Indian languages and English will be of matriculation or equivalent standard and will be of qualifying nature only. The marks obtained in these papers will not be counted for ranking," it said.
UPSC had on March 5 issued a circular giving more weightage to English language. The move had led to an uproar inside and outside Parliament forcing the government to keep it in abeyance on March 15.
"It may also be noted that there is no change in the pattern of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, which will be held on May 26, 2013," it said.
The last date for filling online application for Civil Services preliminary examination is April 4.
